The song
It started with something I saw while praying.
I was praying when I saw a crowd coming over the horizon. There were so many of them that the dust they raised went up like smoke and kept going until it reached heaven.
There were angels at the gate. They had been standing there a long while with nothing much to do, because nobody had been coming in. Then they caught sight of the dust. I watched them straighten up. Flags began to show through the haze, flags from everywhere, and the angels got excited the way you do when a room you thought would stay empty is suddenly about to fill.
The crowd reached the gate and a trumpet sounded. Loud — the noise you make when the people you have been waiting on all night finally arrive. Then I woke up.

A generation is coming that will carry the fire and power of God in our own day. Cities are going to change. REVIVAL is the announcement sung ahead of the fact, which is why the verse stays in the present tense — revival is brewing, the nations are coming, lives are transforming.
The song is built for a crowd rather than for one person with headphones. The chorus is plain enough to catch on first hearing. The bridge gives up on words altogether: one word, over and over, which is what a room sings once it has stopped needing lyrics.
